The Tucson Metro Area is known for its mild seasons by the many tourists, retirees, and winter visitors who come here from all over the continent. In addition to the climate, people are attracted to the wide variety of recreational opportunities and the casual lifestyle available here. There are many resorts and facilities for swimming, horseback riding, golfing, and tennis, as well as numerous scenic attractions in the surrounding deserts and mountains, with lots of places to go hiking, camping, and fishing.
